Rescue
Tracing, contacting and rescuing missing children; liaison with relevant community officials and agencies; and securing release of children from harmful/dangerous situations of exploitation.
Children who are missing are not easily traced, often they will have no official status and appear on no official registers. Our local partners, who are ethnic hill tribe people, are very experienced and well connected with both official and non-official community networks. This work is both difficult and dangerous but extremely important.
hands has set up a rescue fund in order to continue this work. We are in the early stages of developing the activities and scope of the project.
